I’m not saying you’ll earn thousands, but it is legit and you can earn some extra cash. They assume that by paying you to do a free trial, you’ll either like the product and purchase it, or forget to cancel the trial and get charged for it. If you can keep track and cancel before you get charged (if you don’t want the product), then this is a great site for making some money.
I’ve got two sites – one focused on personal finance/personal development and the other on resume writing for people in banking. Longer term, the former is likely to be monetized more through info products, while the latter through info products / services. Choose your niche and check for demand: The golden course combination is when you can find an in-demand niche that aligns with your skills and unique experiences. A great way to do this is to use Google Trends and Google’s Keyword Planner to look for average monthly search volume for keywords related to your proposed course content. Are people actively looking for high-quality information about this subject? Of course, if you’re already creating content for a blog, coaching service, or a site like Medium, you can test demand this way for free just like Bryan did.

For example, we all know that in order for a website to be profitable, it needs traffic – a steady stream of people coming to it. The pitfall that most make is to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities based on the impact that those activities have on the number of people visiting the website. The problem is that this is a gross over-simplification. The easiest way to avoid this common pitfall is to dollarize your website’s traffic. This is done by calculating the value (in dollars) of a visitor coming to your website. The formula for this is: amount of sales / # of website visits = visit value in $$$. With this formula it is easy to see whether or not increasing traffic is also increasing sales, or if the increase in traffic is from people who don’t buy.
You can set up a website, gradually build up the content (articles, videos, podcasts, etc.), then eventually monetize the site through advertising, affiliate marketing, or even the direct sale of specific products or services. If you’ve got a way with words and expertise in a niche, there are plenty of sites that will pay for articles and content you write. Think of the sites you read regularly. What can you contribute to them that would be interesting? Research your niche and then look for ways to pitch articles. Many sites will simply have a submission or contact link in the footer. My suggestion for you would be to kill all your website and create a one large website. From there you will have much more time to write content and promote your website because now you spend countless hours on maintenance alone and that’s not efficient. Large websites are much better received by Google and it is going to be much easier to monetize your website.
