It is possible to make money within your first few months (I did) but ultimately you need to give yourself at least 6-12 months to build something solid when it comes to website marketing. SiteGround is costs the same as any other shared hosting provider but they have it’s own WordPress caching in place. They used to have reverse proxy style caching using Varnish but recently they made a switch to Nginx caching. I believe that they are using fastcgi cache which is much better suited for smaller websites than Varnish. Varnish is great for well trafficked websites and for small websites there are little to no benefit.
