Since time is the most precious commodity on this earth, invest the time at the front-end so that you can reap the benefits on the back-end. This means putting in a bit of sweat equity and not getting paid today. Rather, you'll get paid somewhere down the road. And you'll continue getting paid whether you keep building that passive income stream or you stop. It's obvious that this is the preferred route, but clearly the road less traveled.
Thanks for a nice job. I am currently promoting some of the affiliate programs listed here and making a few dollars from them. But I must say that making money from affiliate programs is not rocket science; it requires hard work and perseverance. Affiliate marketing keeps evolving daily and any serious affiliate should be ready to change tactics and invest time and money in order to beat the competition.
Good stuff (as usual). I just wanted to say that I’m leaning more towards non-AdSense type solutions as well as of recently. I’ve found that since both of my AdSense accounts were disabled (and my new Adsense account has yet to be approved for 2 months and counting), it’s much easier to work with different ad networks. This is because it seems like Google has tightened up their restrictions or something as of recently as far as approval is concerned. Most ad networks, from what I’ve found, don’t pay nearly as much as Adsense. However, I’m currently using Infolinks (which is decent) and also Chitika (not so good of results thus far). I’d really like to know what other companies have payouts that are reasonable as far as ad networks are concerned. Even though I’ve yet to try them, I’ve heard Altitude Digital Partners are pretty good. The same goes for Proioxis and ContextWeb, and Lijit to name a few you hopefully haven’t yet. As you start regularly putting out content, you’ll hopefully start to build a bit of an audience. But to start seeing real money from YouTube you need to market your videos elsewhere. Share your channel on Twitter and Facebook. Distribute videos anywhere else you can think of. Also, interact with comments and build a community around the videos you’re making so people will share it with their friends.
Creating space for banner ads on your website is another way to generate a revenue from adverts. However for this type of advertising you will need to contact businesses directly and ask them if they would like to advertise on your website. The upside is that you can charge a set amount, or even a recurring monthly fee, to business to promote their services on your site. Using a WordPress plugin like AdSanity is an effective way to manage this type of advertising.
For Colorlib we used both of my mentioned strategies. First of all we cover topics that no one have covered before and second we do a huge research for each article and comment we write. Some of our articles are as long as 20,000 words. Which means that you could create 40 average length articles out of each post we have. But we have 200 of these articles which means that we have wrote more content than you can find on any printed book out there. The best thing about it – Google loves it and our readers loves it too as they spend hours on our website researching.
If you're offering a service, your site could have content specific to your specialty. Cleavon, for example, might have some basic articles on changing oil, fixing a flat, or a FAQ about all those little sounds a car might make. Sarah could feature, along with recipes, information such as weight and measure conversion, the differences between types of flours, and anecdotal tales of kitchen disasters and successes. In both cases, going beyond the basic service provided gives visitors a reason to stick around—and click on ads!
It is acceptable to make micro niche website but only if you can offer content that it is not possible to find elsewhere. If you are writing a post about “how to make money” it will never ever rank on Google because there are millions of articles about this topic written before. However, you can get much more creative and write your article titled “how to make money from birch syrup”. Most likely no one has ever covered this topic and being first is a huge advantage. Another option is to offer better content than anyone else. We can use the same “how to make money” article as an example. if you write another post 500 words long it will never get noticed by Google. But you can be more creative and make a huge study out of it and write a 10,000+ long article with graphics, images, spreadsheets and much more. That way you dramatically increase your chance for getting noticed by Google. Writing articles like these will take you several weeks or even months but it’s doable.
Alternately, you can sign up with a service such as Blogger, from Google, or Wordpress—both of which will not only let you put your site name in front of their service name (e.g., geeks.wordpress.com), they will give you that and a website for free. The advantage, aside from that, is that Blogger and Wordpress give you a great number of really well-designed templates to make your site look visually awesome. The downside is that generally takes having a "pro" version (i.e., paid for) before you can do any serious customizing.
Creating a website to generate revenue is primarily based on projecting yourself and the people who post content on your site as domain experts. Sometimes it is very easy to prove that you know your stuff, example would be a WordPress theme developer and writer. Aigars writes a great deal about themes and he gets a lot of interaction because he is a pretty awesome web developer.

Wonder doesn't just hire anyone, but you can apply, and if they think you have the skills to do research, you'll get access to their dashboard. You can then choose to answer a question – perhaps coming from a business executive or an author writing a book. Researchers report making, on average, $8 to $16 for each detailed answer, although you can make more, so this is probably only a gig for those who really enjoy doing some digging to find an answer, as opposed to someone who just wants to make fast money.
The other common method when selling ad space directly from your website is a simple direct price. You simply name a price (based on what you think it’s worth, relative to what the competition might be charging), and get paid upfront at the beginning of each month. This pricing is also generally a simple flat fee, not tied to a Cost Per Click like AdSense.
However, people can still do webinars without all of that. For example, you might have a sizable social media following and you train them every week on something to do with social media. But you will need a product to embed and sell at some point. Don't worry about it in the beginning. And by far, the best webinar platform out there is certainly GoToWebinar. Hands down, there isn't even another platform that comes close.
